What is HWY 249? Well, it's two things, really.
A. it's the name of the student ministry at Houston Northwest Church.
B. it's what we call our weekly student services that take place each Sunday morning which include music, a speaker, videos and sometimes a surprise or two.
So, if you hear someone say they are a member of 249, they are probably referring to the student ministry. If you hear someone say, "Did you go to 249 last week?" they are probably referring to our weekly student service.

Why is it called Highway 249? First, we are located on highway 249. Second, we wanted something that was timeless. Third, it goes with a great verse; "Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full." Our big phrase around here is, "You've got a chance here." We want anyone to feel welcome at Highway 249.
Who can come to HWY 249? Anyone who is in Middle School, Junior High, or High School (6th - 12th Grades). We have students from all over Northwest Houston.
What time is HWY 249? There are two services. Both the Middle School/Junior High and the High School services are on Sunday at 10:45am.
Who is HWY 249? Highway 249 Student Ministries is a community within a community. Our larger community is Houston Northwest Church. If you would like, you can check out our church website at hnw.org.
Where can I download a HWY 249 Medical Release Form for an event?
